A working foundation

Start with the model, then make the report yours.

A store-specific download connects your source to a shared model. You keep working in your own Power BI Desktop environment.

Nine source tables

Preview the tables in Shopify Admin or download complete JSON exports within your plan limits.

A connected model

Thirteen model tables, eleven relationships and 37 documented measures, including calendar and refresh information.

Five starter pages

Catalog, orders and sales, inventory and costs, refunds and returns, and refresh and data quality.

Know your source

The store records behind your reports.

Shopify permissions, selected history and plan limits determine what can be imported. Check coverage before interpreting a result.

DataWhat it covers
Products & variantsTitles, vendors, statuses, SKUs, barcodes and prices.
Orders & order linesDates, statuses, quantities and documented Shopify order amounts within your selected history.
Inventory itemsTracked items and visible current unit costs.
Locations & stock balancesAvailable, on-hand and committed quantities by location, when access is granted.
Refunds & refund linesRefund dates, amounts and item detail within the supported import range.
Two refresh steps, one clear flow.

ShopBridge updates the source automatically on your plan's schedule, or when you select Sync now. Power BI Desktop then imports the latest completed source when you select Refresh.

From install to insight

Connect once. Keep the refresh steps clear.

01 / CONNECT YOUR STORE

Install and choose a plan.

Install through Shopify, approve the required access and select the history range available on your plan. Run your first sync.

02 / OPEN THE STARTER

Download and extract the whole ZIP.

Keep both folders next to ShopBridge.pbip. Open that extracted project in a current Power BI Desktop version.

03 / REFRESH IN DESKTOP

Connect with your export key.

Choose Basic authentication, username powerbi and your export key as the password. Refresh and compare your first results with Shopify.

Already have a report? Use the Power Query connection instead. The starter is a PBIP project; it is not a PBIX or PBIT download.

Shopify shows the final terms, applicable taxes and any plan-change adjustments before approval. New subscriptions offer a three-day trial. Changing plans does not start another trial. Prices and availability are confirmed in the Shopify App Store.

Before you connect

Straight answers about the connection.

Does ShopBridge automatically refresh Power BI Desktop?

ShopBridge updates the source on your plan's schedule. Power BI Desktop imports the latest completed source when you select Refresh. Unattended refresh in Power BI Service needs a separate configuration and validation; it is not included in the Desktop setup.

Which Shopify data can I use?

Products, variants, orders, order lines, inventory items, locations, stock balances, refunds and refund lines. Granted Shopify permissions, your plan's limits and the selected history range determine which records are available.

Why might my Orders table be empty?

Starter imports the last 59 days. If your store has no orders within that period, the Orders table will be empty. Pro and Business support one year or all available history, within their limits. Save the range, run Sync now, then refresh Power BI Desktop.

Do I need my own Power BI licence?

ShopBridge includes a Power BI Desktop project, not a Microsoft Power BI licence. Microsoft licensing and any Power BI Service workspace or sharing requirements are separate.

Can I use an existing report?

Yes. Use the Power Query connection and the store-specific source in an existing report, or start with the included model. Keep your export key in Power BI's credentials settings, not in query text or a shared report.

Is the report an accounting or profit statement?

No. Order amounts reflect Shopify source values and their documented definitions. Refunds are separate. Current inventory costs do not establish historical cost of goods sold or realised profit. Check import coverage and the model guide before relying on financial results.

ShopBridge processes store data.

Its Shopify-data connection is separate from the metadata-only Everscope Governance service. Read the ShopBridge privacy policy and service terms for product-specific processing and retention.
